My goal as your doula is to hold sacred space for you throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I offer support for physiological birth because I desire for you to experience the beauty of birth free from fear or panic. I believe your body was intentionally designed for this, and it is my honor to walk alongside you, like a sister, as you step into motherhood through the beautiful passage of birth. Above all, I seek to glorify God through the care and support I provide, as you glorify Him through your body and your birth.

What is a Doula?

A Doula will support you - emotionally, physically, and spiritually during your pregnancy and birth. They provide you with the resources you need to be informed and confident during this process. Pregnancy, labor, birth and motherhood are holy ground- but they were never meant to be done alone.

I want a doula but I have questions...

This section is for you, here is a short list of common concerns I answer during every consultation.

  • What if you miss my birth?
Birth can be unpredictable, and quick labors are rare, but I take your due window very seriously. I only take a limited amount of clients each month and remain on-call for you during that time. I also have a trusted backup doula in place in the rare case of illness or emergency. My goal is to be present and fully available when you need me.

  • Do you replace my husband?
Absolutely not! My role is to support both of you. I help guide your husband with ways they can comfort and encourage you so he feels confident and involved in the birth experience.

  • When do you come during labor?
We will be in communication as labor begins. I typically join you once labor becomes active or whenever you feel you need extra support. My goal is to arrive when my presence will be most helpful.

  • Do you only support natural or unmedicated birth?
I am passionate about supporting physiological, unmedicated birth and I love helping women prepare for that kind of experience through education, comfort techniques, and continuous support during labor. That said, birth can be unpredictable and plans sometimes change. If you choose pain medication or your birth unfolds differently than expected, my support doesn’t change. I am still fully there to support you emotionally and physically and help you feel informed, respected, and cared for throughout your birth.

  • Why should I have a birth photographer?
This is a once-in-a-lifetime moments of your baby’s arrival. While you focus on labor and meeting your baby, a photographer quietly captures the emotions, support, and first moments you might otherwise miss.

  • What if I’m not a Christian?
You are welcome here. My faith is the foundation of why I care so much about supporting women in pregnancy and birth, but my role as your doula is to support you. I respect your values, your birth preferences, and your family. If you ever want prayer or faith-based encouragement, I’m happy to offer that, but it’s always completely up to you.
